About

I am a suburbanite teacher working at my old high school, exploring gifted and techno-learning with younger, smarter versions of my youthful self. I am a former middle-distance runner, current guitar enthusiast, sometime reader, sometime writer, wannabe pirate and graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

The first six months of exploring this blog  saw it as a means of discussing primarily educational topics, but also personal endeavours and expeditions, as well as commentary and best-of-web related posts. Recently I have begun blogging with a class of identified gifted grade nine and ten students across language arts and social studies, and have increasingly used this space, and my adjoining Delicious and Twitter accounts, as a means of making my classroom increasingly paperless and globally connected.

On Twitter, Delicious, and here, I am BryanJack. Gmail me at brandonmacdon at gmail.com (there’s a story or two behind that alias, and I’m not abandoning another email address, so Brandon it is; still Bryan here though).
